ALERTS:
HEAT ADVISORY: Until 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
AIR QUALITY ALERT: Today until 11 p.m.
The big story is the heat. Today and Wednesday will be the hottest days of the week, with temperatures soaring into the upper 90s and even near 100 degrees in some locations. Heat indices will make it feel even hotter, so stay hydrated, limit strenuous outdoor activities during the afternoon, and check on vulnerable neighbors.
By Thursday and Friday, temperatures ease back into the upper 80s with lower humidity, making for a more comfortable finish to the workweek. The weekend looks warm with a return of scattered thunderstorms, especially Saturday afternoon, before a mix of clouds and sunshine on Sunday.
Some storms may be strong and severe on Saturday, so definitely stay tuned to News12 for update throughout this week!
