People in New Canaan are rallying around a police officer who needs your help.

Forty-four-year-old Clinton Jarvis, an officer with the New Canaan Police Department, needs a living kidney donor. The former Bridgeport cop was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease a few years ago and says he has 12% function of both kidneys and is in stage 5.

Kean’s Korner in New Canaan, which some may also know as Art’s Mobil, has taken to social media to get the word out. Officer Jarvis is well-known and loved in the community, and friends are trying to help spread awareness in hopes of reaching the right person who may be willing to get tested. He learned that this kidney disease has affected multiple generations of his family.

Officer Jarvis says he is grateful for all the support.

“To see with this how everybody’s just... I’m seeing posts all over. It’s kind of weird seeing my face in places. I don’t like that, but I enjoy the support. It actually makes me feel better,” said Jarvis.
