Showers fade after today, but still the threat for a few showers on Sunday. The heat surges back next week with highs climbing well into the 90s. The hottest days so far this summer are expected midweek.

Some linger throughout the day Saturday, but Sunday will be better with a mix of sun and clouds and the threat for a few stray showers. High temperatures rebound to the mid 80s.

Get ready for a hot week ahead as we may have the next heatwave of the season. The first heatwave was June 11-13th. Bridgeport has had a couple of additional 90+degree days since then, but they have not formed another three-day streak yet.
