Former Connecticut State Sen. Dennis Bradley issued a formal apology to Bridgeport residents on Sunday after a judge temporarily suspended his law license.
"To the people of Bridgeport, I'm sorry. It was never my intention to break the law," Bradley said.
The suspension comes following Bradley's federal conviction in March for campaign finance and wire fraud.
In an exclusive interview with News 12, Bradley spoke candidly and reflectively about the long and painful legal ordeal.
The interim suspension of his law license will remain in place while the court determines a final disciplinary action, which could include a multi-year suspension or permanent disbarment.
