Silver alert issues for missing Bridgeport woman with 'urgent mental health concerns'

Police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing 33-year-old Bridgeport resident who was last seen Tuesday.
Valerie Bernard is described as a white female, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 215 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a brown tank top with black pants and may be barefoot.
Authorities and family members have expressed urgent concern for her well-being.
"The family and the department have mental health concerns regarding Valerie," said Bridgeport Police Detective Jeff Holtz. "Her family wants her home, the department wants her home. We are asking for the public's help. This is an emergency situation."
Anyone with information regarding Bernard's whereabouts is urged to contact the Bridgeport Police Department immediately.
