Police confirm 29-year-old Luis Cano is dead after bullets rang out in Hunts Point on Sunday night.
It happened just before 8 p.m. near 1275 Lafayette Ave., according to police
Citizen app footage shows the paramedics and officers placing the victim in the back of an ambulance, while performing CPR.
According to investigators, the man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
The NYPD says EMS rushed the 29-year-old to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Information about what led up to the shooting and who may have pulled the trigger was not immediately available.
The victim's identity had not been released as of Sunday night.
