Light scattered showers take us through 7AM. Clouds with a few peeks of sunshine are expected this afternoon with cool temperatures in the 60s and gusty Northeasterly winds near 25 MPH. The Autumnal Equinox starts at 8:04 P.M. tonight. It is the exact moment when the Sun crosses over the equator heading South, and we have nearly equal day and equal night.

Unseasonably cool Fall-like temperatures continue this week with windy conditions. A persistent northeasterly wind will bring dangerous rip currents and minor to moderate coastal flooding at ocean facing beaches through the weekend.

We're monitoring this weekend's potential nor'easter that could bring hazardous impacts especially to the immediate coastal communities. The latest weather computer models are still in disagreement with the exact track of the storm. The European model brings the storm closer to the area, meanwhile the American model grazes the area with some light rain and gusty winds on Saturday. However, the timing, track, and exact impacts are still subject to change over the next few days. What we do know is despite the distance of the coastal storm, this weekend will be windy, there will be a risk of beach erosion, high rip currents and coastal flooding due to the full moon and northeasterly winds.
