Anybody can create anything, from anywhere - that was the message as one of Jefferson High's own came home to inspire the next generation of creators.
Derek Drymon, a member of Jefferson High School’s Class of 1987 and one of the creative forces behind the hugely popular SpongeBob SquarePants, returned to his alma mater as part of the school’s Alumni Spotlight Series.
Drymon spoke with students about his career. Students had plenty of questions, asking about the making of SpongeBob, the animation industry, and what it takes to turn an idea into something that connects with audiences around the world.
