Amazon plans to hire more than 1,200 workers in the Greater Trenton area for the holiday season as part of a nationwide hiring effort, the company announced Tuesday.

The positions include seasonal, part-time and full-time jobs, with openings posted weekly from October through December.

Amazon said it plans to hire more than 300,000 workers nationwide.

Seasonal employees earn an average of $20 an hour, while full-time operations employees start at a minimum of $20 an hour, according to the company.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, seasonal employees working at least 30 hours per week will become eligible for health care coverage, with plan options starting at $5 per week and $5 copays.

Amazon said some seasonal employees may have opportunities to transition into full-time positions.

Interested applicants can find openings at amazon.com/localjobs. The company said positions will be posted in waves and may fill quickly.
