A 46-year-old man died after a scooter crash in Norwalk early Wednesday morning.

Police say a 911 call came in around 4:07 a.m. reporting a crash involving a scooter near 650 West Ave.

Police, firefighters and paramedics responded and provided medical aid to the scooter operator, identified as Christopher Moorer of Norwalk.

Moorer was taken by ambulance to Norwalk Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The Norwalk Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Unit and Identification Unit responded to process the scene.

The crash remains under investigation. Police are asking anyone who witnessed it or has information to contact the Crash Reconstruction Unit.
