Three people were arrested and another remains on the loose after a police chase that started in Westport ended up in East Norwalk.
Police say the four suspects were pulled over during a traffic stop on Post Road West at around 5:45 p.m. Monday in Westport. One of the suspects, a woman, was asked by police to get out of the car because she allegedly had drugs on her. The woman was arrested, but the other three suspects took off.
Police say the suspects ditched their car on Seaview Avenue in East Norwalk and took off on foot. One was caught on Betts Place and the other was fished out from the East Norwalk Basin after he allegedly tried to swim away.
The woman was charged with possession with intent to sell marijuana and possession of a hallucinogenic. The two other suspects are being treated at Norwalk Hospital.
