Fire officials in Bridgeport say three people have been displaced after a fire tore through their multifamily home Saturday night.
The blaze started in a house on Edna Avenue just after 7 p.m.
Officials say most of the damage was confined to the home's third floor. They say no one was on the floor at the time of the fire, and those who were elsewhere inside the home were able to get out safely.
Officials say the blaze started in the floor between the second and third levels, then spread up to the attic. They are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
Authorities say that the first and second floors have smoke and water damage, and they aren't sure when the residents will be able to go back to their house.
