40 benches installed in Stamford for the Art in Public Places summer exhibit

The streets of downtown Stamford are being transformed for the summer. Forty works of art are being installed over the next few days as part of the city's annual Art in Public Places summer exhibit.

The streets of downtown Stamford are being transformed for the summer.
Forty works of art are being installed over the next few days as part of the city's annual Art in Public Places summer exhibit.
The display called Street Seats features creative benches designed by more than 30 regional artists.
The benches will be on display through August.
After that, they will each be auctioned off to benefit the Palace Theater and Curtain Call.
