A man was stabbed to death in the Bronx after police responded to an apparent assault, according to officials.
It happened Wednesday around 10 p.m. on Simpson Street.
Police say they responded to a 911 call for an assault and discovered a 41-year-old man lying face down with two stab wounds to his chest.
They say he was transported to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say no arrests have been made, and they are still investigating.
They are waiting to release the name of the man until his family has been notified of his death.
