Residents in Bridgeport turned out this weekend for a fun event honoring West Indian culture.
The eighth annual Caribbean Jerk Fest took place on the McLevy Green on Saturday. The event featured music and many native dishes, including jerk chicken and pork.
Vendors were also selling clothes, earrings, perfume, oils and cellphone accessories. 
Jerk Fest was hosted by the West Indian American Association of Greater Bridgeport.
