Abandoned tan pit bull escapes in Norwalk, authorities seek information

Authorities in Norwalk are actively searching for a missing tan pit bull that was abandoned in the area.

According to Norwalk Animal Control, the dog was abandoned in a cage by the driver of an SUV, but subsequently escaped.

Animal Control is now seeking the owner of the car in connection with the incident.

Officials received a reported sighting of the dog near Speedy Donuts at Glenwood and Connecticut avenues.
