Two men who allegedly robbed a Stamford bank at gunpoint on Friday and were caught shortly after will appear before a judge Monday, according to The Advocate.
Police say cousins Edens Gabriel, of Norwalk, and Michael Montas, of Stamford, robbed the Webster Bank on Summer Street in Norwalk at gunpoint Friday. According to investigators, the pair stole $11,000 before leading police on a foot chase.
An officer who happened to be in the area chased the suspects after the alleged robbery. Eventually, police say more officers showed up and nabbed the two men before they could get to a nearby getaway car.
Montas and Gabriel are charged with first-degree robbery with a firearm and first-degree larceny.
