Animal advocates are telling parents to think twice before giving their child a pet for Easter.
Ducklings, chicks and bunnies are popular pets around this time of year.
The owner of Benedict's Home and Garden in Monroe says he is very careful about selling his farm animals during the season. While they are cute and adorable at a young age, the owner says the animals live for many years and take a lot of work.
"They need to be cared for, you are their lifeline," said Bruce Benedict.
