In Stamford a temporary agreement has been reached by community leaders hoping to save the city's struggling Yerwood Community Center.
The center may give up its lease and let the Stamford Boys and Girls Club take over their facility.
That deal was reached by the mayor's office, the Yerwood Center Board, and the Boys and Girls Club at a community-wide meeting Thursday.
The Yerwood Center has had many problems in recent years and was initially ordered to close due to code violations.
Prior to the meeting, concerned residents gathered at the Government Center to demand a solution.
