The alleged accomplice to a double murder faced a Connecticut judge for the first time during her arraignment in Bridgeport Friday.
Police say Nicole Pearce was the getaway driver when her boyfriend, Chris DiMeo, murdered Tim and Kim Donnelly in their Fairfield jewelry store last year. Following her extradition to Connecticut, Pearce appeared in a Bridgeport courtroom and filed a motion for a public defender. About 20 family members and friends of the Donnellys were also in the courtroom as Pearce faced the judge.
Pearce is already serving a 20-year sentence in New York for being the accomplice in the murder of a Long Island jeweler. DiMeo is serving a life sentence for that crime. Pearce is charged with two counts of felony murder and could be sentenced to more than 120 years in prison if convicted.
