The board of education is set to vote tonight on a controversial change to the drug policy in the Amity Regional School District.
Currently, dogs can search lockers, backpacks and cars, but not search students.
School officials are suggesting that if drugs are found, a police dog can try and detect drugs on the individual.
A faculty member would then search the student.
Some parents say the policy is an invasion of privacy.
