Local orchards say they were hit hard by the unpredictable weather this year and lost many crops causing a shortage in apples and other fruits this picking season.
Sliverman's Farm says it lost 80 percent of its peach crop and about 30 percent of its apples.
Blue Jay Orchards in Bethel says it lost 90 percent of its apples.
Local farmers are hoping next year will be better.
