An arrest warrant is providing more information into the case of a man charged with sexually assaulting a Sacred Heart University student.
As News 12 has reported, police say 39-year-old Alfonso Reid gave the 19-year-old victim and her two friends a ride back to campus and later sexually assaulted the victim. Police also say Reid wanted the girls to do cocaine and smoke marijuana with him at his house, but Reid ended up dropping off the victim's friends on campus.
Reid then allegedly forced the victim to take a pill and drove to an unknown location where he assaulted her.
According to the arrest warrant, police say Reid grabbed the victim's phone while raping her, and made her set a timer to keep a record of his assaults on her. They say Reid later dropped the victim off on campus, and she was then treated at St. Vincent's Medical Center.
Sacred Heart University Public Safety obtained surveillance video purported to show the suspect and victim.
Reid is being held on $750,000 bail and is due back in court April 19.
