Police say two suspects have been arrested and charged and at least one more suspect is being sought after a home invasion in Woodbridge.
Police say the incident took place at 29 Merritt Road at around 5 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities say two people were assaulted during the home invasion, and one woman was stabbed in the hand. Police say the men were armed.
A neighbor says his dog Buster alerted him to the commotion outside. He woke up and called 911.
?We were very fortunate that the first 911 call came into [the] Woodbridge [Police Department] who responded very quickly,? state police Lt. Paul Vance says. ?Certainly that enabled them to intercept the suspects who were attempting to flee the scene.?
A New Haven man and Trumbull man are facing charges including home invasion, assault, kidnapping and burglary. Both are being held on $1 million bond and are due in court Thursday morning.
