Prosecutors say former Bridgeport lawmaker Christina Ayala pleaded guilty today in connection with voting fraud charges filed against her.
Ayala was charged with voting and living outside the district she represented in the state House of Representatives.
Prosecutors say Ayala agreed today to plead guilty to a single count of making a false statement in exchange for a suspended one-year prison sentence and two years probation.
