Stamford police say two suspects responsible for a shooting and car chase in Stamford had their bail set Monday.
Police say the ordeal began when convicted felon Robert "BJ" Hudson and Shameka McNairn fired several shots in Stamford and took off at around 8 p.m. Friday. Soon after, police say they received a report that the intended victim was following the suspect on I-95.
Police say both vehicles involved got off at Exit 16 in Norwalk, where two more shots were fired.
The vehicles headed down East Avenue and crashed in front of Penny's Diner near Fitch Street.
A Norwalk officer responded quickly and chased the suspects. Police say a handgun was recovered behind the diner.
Hudson is being held on a $500,000 bond that the judge says can only be paid in cash. McNairn is being held on $100,000.
Both are due back in court Jan. 20.
