Crumbs closed its doors nearly a week ago, and filed for bankruptcy on Friday.
Some customers visited Forever Sweet in Norwalk Sunday in search of a new favorite cupcake store.
Sky Mercede, of Forever Sweet, says that while he hates to see a great business close, he's glad customers might now choose his business.
"They had a great product, but along the way something happened." he says. "What that is, I don't know."
CNBC star Marcus Lemonis and Dippin' Dots owner Fischer Enterprises recently invested in Crumbs. Lemonis said in a statement he and his partners will acquire most of the company, and they hope the sale will be complete in about two months.
