Bald eagle saved after hitting power lines in Mansfield

The good Samaritan helped protect the eagle from traffic until the trooper arrived.

A state trooper and a good Samaritan rescued an injured bald eagle in Mansfield along Ravine Road and Route 32 on Monday.

Witnesses say the eagle flew into power lines.

The good Samaritan helped protect the eagle from traffic until the trooper arrived.

The bald eagle was then taken to Tufts Wildlife Clinic for care.
