The Barnum Festival Road Show is back touring for the first time since the start of the pandemic – kicking off with stops in the greater Bridgeport area Tuesday and Thursday.
Barnum Festival Ringmaster George Estrada and the "royal family" are making pitstops at 16 assisted living and rehabilitation facilities for those who can't make it to this weekend's Barnum Festival parade and fireworks.
"I think it's one of the most important missions and traditions that the festival has," says Estrada.
The festival organizers stopped off at Benchmark Senior Living at Split Rock in Shelton Tuesday.
"To me, it's those that need recreation the most," says Estrada. "For us to come in and brighten their lives each day, it's special for us also."
The road show will also stop in Stratford and Milford on Tuesday and then head to Trumbull on Thursday.
