A former Milford youth basketball coach who had a sexual affair with one of his teenage players was sentenced to a year and a half in prison Friday.
In July, Robert Dulin pleaded no contest to four charges, including sexual assault and breach of peace, both in the second degree. Dulin had a sexual affair with a then 16-year-old girl.
During his sentencing, the state attorney was able to lay out his case again against Dulin and asked the judge for the maximum of two years in prison. The victim, only identified as 20-year-old D.B., was also able to give a statement to the court.
?I know that our relationship had nothing to do with love but with Bob?s sick desire to fulfill his sexual fantasies with a child,? the victim said.
The victim also told the court that during the affair she was forced to terminate two pregnancies. Dulin?s attorney had no comment on those claims, but did say the victim had tried to contact Dulin after his initial arrest in 2005.
Dulin?s wife also had a chance to speak at the sentencing.
