After years of planning, the new Bass Pro Shops in Bridgeport held its grand opening Wednesday evening.
The 150,000-square-foot shop, located in Steele Pointe, is themed and decorated around the Housatonic River and Connecticut outdoors.
The store has created about 400 jobs for the people of southwestern Connecticut.
Officials say the store cost $70 million to build and features an archery range, bowling alley, restaurant and bar.
