The Notre Dame-Fairfield football team is ready for another another state playoff run.

Two years ago the team made school history by ending a 20 years long postseason drought.

"Although that's everyone's goal ultimately at the beginning of the year to win a state championship. There's only certain percentage of teams in the state where that's something that's attainable. I think with the work they've put in this off season, that's definitely something we could do if we do the right things," head coach John Johnson said.

Notre Dame opens up against Waterford Sept. 8th.
