Bear spotted in Stamford yard
State officials are telling residents to be on alert after a bear was spotted in Stamford.
It happened on Spring Hill Lane North yesterday.
State environmental officials say it is unlikely it will try to attack anyone.
Experts say homeowners in the area should keep their pets and trash inside.
If you come across a bear, you are advised to make loud noises and move away as calmly as you can.
