The Beardsley Zoo has reopened its rainforest building with a new look and new animals.
Zoo officials say the refreshed building has new tropical plantings, improved pathways and redone exhibit walls.
They describe the building as a celebration to "the stunning beauty of our animals, the lush nature of the tropics, and the zoo's commitment to growth, conservation, and wonder."
The building is also home to Evita, a 14-year-old ocelot, a medium sized wild cat that is native to Mexico, South and Central America.
Two Scarlet ibises, which are colorful tropical birds, will join Evita and the zoo's existing male ibis.
Renovations began last winter and will continue into the fall.
