Warm and dry today, humidity increasing on July Fourth

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Jonathan Cubit says today will be mostly sunny with highs around 82, but expect more humidity on the Fourth of July.

NOW: The weather remains quiet again for today, then it heats up for July 4th. Temperatures jump up and so does the humidity. Along with the heat, thunderstorms will also make an appearance. There is a risk of a few rogue storms later in the day and at night on the 4th. Fireworks displays may be disrupted, but this risk isn't widespread.
NEW & NEXT: Look for storms Friday and into Saturday. It stays hot and humid through the weekend too. Feels like temperatures (or the heat index) will be back in the lower 90s again by the end of the week. Showers and storms will pop up again early next week. It also stays humid through early next week.
