Another day, another change to the CIAC state playoff schedule.

Kickoff times for nine of the 12 semifinal games originally scheduled for this upcoming Monday night will now be held earlier in the day because of dangerously cold temperatures.

The CIAC told host teams they could move semifinal games up to as early as 3:30 p.m. on Monday as long as both teams agreed to the time change.

Wilton, the No. 2 seed in Class MM, hosts Bunnell for a chance to go to the state championship game.

Kickoff at Fujitani field, which was originally scheduled for 6 p.m., will now be at 4:30 p.m.

"Hopefully we'll be a little bit warmer," Wilton head coach E.J. Dinunzio says. "It's the right thing to do, and it's about making sure everyone is comfortable and safe."

The quarterfinal round, which was originally scheduled to be played this past Tuesday, had to be pushed back a day because of a mix of snow and rain in parts of the state.

DiNunzio says the schedule changes have made for the wildest postseason he's ever been a part of.

"I'm still trying to figure out what day it is," DiNunzio says. "The kids are like, 'Hey, coach, what time are we playing? Hey, are we moving the game? What if it snows?' It's been a little turbulent."

Kickoff for New Canaan's game on Monday has been moved up to 3:30 p.m.

Meantime, St. Joseph's will host Brookfield at Derby High School with kickoff now at 3:30 p.m.

The Class LL semifinal between Greenwich and Fairfield Prep will kick off at 6 p.m. at Rafferty Stadium.
