In our fast-moving world, experts say we’re more disconnected from nature than ever before.
A new brewery in Bridgeport is working to change that.
Foolproof Brewing Co. has launched a new beer in collaboration with Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo.
"The zoo provides a large gamut of education programs for children in elementary school, all the way through high school and continuing education," says Foolproof's director of operations Spencer Churchill. "This sort of seemed like an opportunity to make a really big impact in a really fun way."
All proceeds from the Beardsley Brew will go directly toward the zoo's education programs.
"Anything worthwhile is worth investing in," Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo CEO Jim Wharton says. "Displaying animals that are endangered like the red panda, we help people become more aware of the plight that they’re facing."
The can was designed by a talented Connecticut artist.
The beers are sold in packs of four.
