Thursday was another day where temperatures climbed above freezing, which led to more melting. Watch out for icy spots to develop again tonight as temperatures fall below 20 degrees. The winds will make it feel more like 12 degrees early Friday morning.
The weather looks great for Friday, but some light snow will try to slip through the Northeast late Friday and early Saturday. This won't amount to very much, but a coating is possible across western Connecticut. Temperatures will rise on Saturday for Valentine's Day, which will help melt the snow. Temperatures would jump into the low to mid-40s with some sunshine.
The clouds will collect for Sunday and Monday on Presidents' Day, but snow and rain chances look very slim. The storm will stay well offshore. Most of the precipitation stays well south. There is a weak system that will slide north of us that may bring a flurry or sprinkle during the daytime.
Temperatures will be off and running for next week. Look for high temperatures to rise into the low to mid-40s for a few days. Cooler temperatures will return for the following weekend.
