New funding is on the way to help victims of human trafficking in Bridgeport.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal says funding from the U.S. Department of Justice will go to the Partnership to End Human Trafficking.
Sharon Guillemette is a sex trafficking victim from Bridgeport who shared her story with News 12. She now works for with Partnership to End Human Trafficking to help other victims.
The nonprofit group provides a safe house for victims at an undisclosed location in Bridgeport.
