Sen. Richard Blumenthal is pushing for legislation that would open all federal courts, including the Supreme Court, to TV cameras.
"The Supreme Court of the United States is about to hear some monumentally important cases that will change the course of our history -- but no one, except for a very small group admitted to the courtroom, will see the proceedings because the Supreme Court has barred all cameras, all broadcasts," says Blumenthal.
Blumenthal says the legislation would also open the courts to radio and other electronic media to provide history a vital record of the proceedings.
