Hundreds turned out in Bridgeport Saturday for the Bond Street Family Festival at Faith Outreach Church.
Organizers said they work hard to attract members of the community who might otherwise never step foot in a church.
They said their goal is get people the resources they need.
"We don't believe in duplicating programs, so we collaborate with the organizations that are already in the community that are servicing our people, and we just bring them here, so if you look around, we have favor, we have alliance, we have liberation," said Samaris Rose, of the Faith Outreach Church.
"We get so many people from all sides of town, young people to come over, eat, there's no trouble," said resident Tony Barr.
Organizers also thanked the community for turning out in support of the event.
