Bridgeport Air Force veteran pays 'solemn tribute' to American heroes on Veterans Day

Demetrius Purefoy, 59, is the owner of Pure Martial Arts Fitness Academy on the East Side of Bridgeport.
"Every day, when I walk through the front door, I pause and ponder the fates of countless young Americans who did not get the chance to come home and start a business and take care of their families," Purefoy told News 12.
"I think about those Americans and remember their families and thank God for blessing me and my family with another day. We should all be mindful of the sacrifices those veterans made - and not just on Veterans Day, but every day," he said.
