The Bridgeport Animal Shelter is holding its annual Howl-O-Ween adoption festival.
Star 99.9 DJ Raven, Mayor Joe Ganim, and animal control officers showed off some of the cats and dogs that are available for adoption Saturday.
Officials say the adoption and pet festival includes a costume contest for humans and animals, and will have plenty of games, candy and doggie treats.
Mayor Ganim says he adopted his dog Duke from the shelter.
More information about pet adoption is available at the Bridgeport Animal Control Shelter, located at 236 Evergreen St., by sending an email to animal.shelter@bridgeportct.gov or on Facebook.
