The Bridgeport community continues to mourn long-time state representative Ezequiel Santiago, who suffered a fatal heart attack.
Santiago, a six-term Democrat, had a heart attack at his fiancé's home Thursday night. He was 45-years-old.
Santiago chaired the House Banking Committee and sponsored a bill designed to help federal workers during the recent government shutdown.
Governor Ned Lamont has ordered flags be lowered to half staff in Santiago's memory. Funeral arrangements were not yet finalized early Saturday afternoon.
