Bridgeport police now say the man found dead in an abandoned building on Friday was murdered.
The body was discovered in a third-floor apartment on Brooks Street.
Officers say the victim died from blunt force trauma to the head and the body was badly decomposed.
Police have not been able to identify the victim and ask anyone with information to call the detective bureau at 203-576-7671.
The death marks the city's fourth homicide of the year.
