A federal judge sentenced a Bridgeport man to 10 years in prison for trafficking fentanyl and heroin.
Prosecutors say 51-year-old Jeffrey Thomas got the drugs into California from Mexico and then distributed them on the East Coast.
He was previously convicted of a federal narcotic trafficking offense in 2002.
Thomas was released on $150,000 and is required to report to prison on July 23.
