A Bridgeport couple is facing eviction as one of them gets ready to have major surgery.

Rosa Vazquez told News 12 Connecticut that she and her spouse -- along with their kids -- have to be out of their home soon, even though her wife has to get an operation.

They say they feel for the thousands of Connecticut residents who are facing a similar situation like they are currently.

"It's the uncertainty. It's the uncertainty of not knowing what you're going to be doing, trying to pack in the middle of her being out of work for her surgery. She's not going to be able to pack. You can't pack while you're trying to recover from surgery for a hiatal hernia," Rosa Vazquez said.

The couple has started a GoFundMe campaign.
