Firefighters in Bridgeport are calling an overnight car fire suspicious.
The fire started at Jim's Auto on Kossuth Street just after 2 a.m.
Witnesses say the vehicle was in the auto tow shop, and it looked like the fire started inside the vehicle. Police are ruling this as a possible act of arson primarily because the car was in an enclosed lot and wasn't running at the start of the fire.
One of the employees at the tow shop, Rafael Vacquez, says the targeted car was towed there recently because it had been abandoned. Vacquez thinks whoever started the fire might be connected to the car, but police say it's too early to tell.
Police say the suspect could face arson, trespassing and burglary charges.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bridgeport police.
