Several tragedies have struck the city of Bridgeport, leaving many residents in mourning Monday.
Over the past few days, five people have died and a baby is clinging to life. On the Fourth of July, a minivan plunged into a Bridgeport pond, killing four people. A car later crashed in front of a convenience store at Hollister and Connecticut avenues, sending 20-month-old Kayanna Brayboy to the ICU.
Then on Friday, a teen's lifeless body was pulled from the water at Seaside Park.
?It was a horrific, horrific 72 hours,? Mayor John Fabrizi said in light of the holiday tragedies. ?You?re supposed to go to the park and picnic and end up at home and watch TV later.?
Police are still investigating what led to the crash that ended with the toddler on life support.
