City workers cleaned, boarded up and secured an abandoned Bridgeport house today, marking the start of the mayor's 'Clean and Lien' campaign.Through the new program, Bridgeport officials attempt to contact the owners of abandoned houses. Then, workers clean them up and puts liens on the properties.Today, workers cleaned up 189 Arctic St., which neighbors say has been home to rodents, drug dealers and gang activity since it was abandoned more than a year ago.City officials say this home will likely go into foreclosure and will eventually be knocked down. They say they may turn the property over to Habitat for Humanity, which would build a new house in its place.Other abandoned properties will be cleaned up in the upcoming weeks.
